Frequently Asked Questions - T-shirts in Guatemala

Are camiseta and playera the same in Guatemala?

Yes. In Guatemala, we use 'playera' as a local term for what is called 'camiseta' in Spain and other countries. It refers to the same garment: a knitted shirt, without buttons, with a round or V-neck. At Básicos Guatemala, we use both terms interchangeably.

What is the difference between 180 gsm and 220 gsm?

Grammage determines the weight and thickness of the fabric. A 180 gsm t-shirt is lighter, cooler, and more breathable, ideal for warm climates and sublimation. A 220 gsm t-shirt is thicker, more durable, and drapes better, ideal for intensive daily wear and screen printing.

How many items do I need to buy for wholesale pricing?

Wholesale prices start at 12 units. For orders of 50 and 100 units, we apply additional volume discounts. There are no color or size restrictions within the same order to qualify for wholesale pricing.

Are the t-shirts available in large sizes?

Yes. We handle sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL in most of our colors. For orders with special sizes outside this range, please contact us directly to verify availability.

Can I order screen-printed or embroidered t-shirts?

Absolutely. We offer screen printing, sublimation, and embroidery on our t-shirts. Screen printing is ideal for logos and designs with 1 to 6 colors. Sublimation allows for full-color or all-over prints. Embroidery is perfect for premium logos on the chest or sleeve.

How long does T-shirt delivery take in Guatemala?

Orders without personalization are shipped within 24–48 business hours throughout Guatemala. For orders with screen printing or embroidery, production time is an additional 5–7 business days. All shipments include a tracking number.

Do you ship t-shirts to other countries?

Yes. We ship internationally to Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Spain, and other countries. Delivery times and shipping costs vary by destination. Check availability at hola@basicosguatemala.com.
